We were testing out our new little test car that I bought to develop an MSS54 tune, it's a 2002 E46 M3 Convertible SMG. This is a Dyno Dynamics dyno, which reads about 15% lower than 2 local dynojet dynos within 2 miles of my shop.
Anyways, the results came out very well and better than expected. The tuning software worked amazingly well. This car is at 138,000 miles, with noisy vanos and inlet vanos already on the borderline barely within range. I was not expecting to pick up this much power. Dyno rev limiter was raised to 8200rpm to bypass of having to enable dyno mode, speed limiters were all removed (hit 190mph on the dyno in 6th with 3.91 gearing). CSL rev matching and improved software was also incorporated into the DME software.
Mods on this vehicle: Dinan 3.91 lsd differential, unknown brand rear muffler, K&N drop in air filter.
